HOUSE EXTENSION

This Single Storey rear extension to a 1950's End terrace granite built property provided its owners with the extra space they needed to accommodate their extended family.

The existing house had a narrow kitchen and dining area which was very claustrophobic to prepare and eat meals in.  The existing kitchen was transformed into a dining area with a small toilet and the extension provides space for a new spacious kitchen.   The extension provides the space to create and open plan kitchen, dining and living area.

Due to the position of the existing first floor windows it was not possible to use slate or concrete tiles because of the low roof pitch.  to avoid the use of flat roof materials a light weight metal tile which looks like concrete tiles was used to combat the low roof pitch.
